Our client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their Fort Collins team. They support a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects, partnering with residential, commercial, energy, and municipal clients to deliver thoughtful civil engineering solutions. responsibilities.
The Senior Project Engineer will contribute to all phases of design and production for civil engineering projects. This includes developing plans, reports, and specifications; making key design decisions; managing project tasks; and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
Typical work involves grading design, utility layout, site planning, and preparing construction documents using engineering software. The role also requires performing hydraulic and hydrologic calculations for drainage systems, as well as hydraulic analysis for water and sanitary infrastructure.
The engineer will support a variety of project types—ranging from private land development to renewable energy and municipal work—and will provide guidance to junior staff as needed. Clear communication, adaptability, and thorough attention to detail will be central to success.
qualifications.
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution is required.
Candidates must be licensed as a Professional Engineer in Colorado and bring at least 4–6 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
Applicants should be comfortable using various software tools for hydrologic, hydraulic, sanitary, and water system calculations.
Proficiency in Civil 3D is essential, along with strong skills in grading, utilities, site design, and construction plan production.
