Our client is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Kansas City, MO to support the delivery of essential water infrastructure projects. The role involves technical design, project coordination, and client engagement across a range of water and wastewater systems. responsibilities.
Plan, design, and deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction
Lead or support projects involving treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection systems
Prepare technical studies, engineering reports, construction drawings, and contract documents
Coordinate with subconsultants and internal teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements
Manage project tasks while maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance
Work directly with clients to define needs, present solutions, and maintain long-term relationships
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the discipline
Participate in business development activities and professional organizations
qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain regional licensure within a defined timeframe
5+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater system planning and design
Experience with treatment processes, pumping systems, and conveyance infrastructure
Demonstrated project management experience
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Proficiency with standard office and engineering documentation tools
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple offices and disciplines
