Our client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Omaha, Nebraska to play a key role in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure and land development projects. The position combines hands-on technical responsibilities with oversight of junior staff and coordination across project teams. Our client provides professional engineering and consulting services that support community-focused development and long-term infrastructure solutions.
responsibilities.
Lead civil engineering design efforts for land development and infrastructure projects from early concept through final construction documentation
Review and approve plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for accuracy and constructability
Coordinate closely with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery
Exercise sound engineering judgement when making design decisions and resolving complex technical challenges
Assign, oversee, and review technical work performed by project engineers, designers, and technicians
Prepare professional correspondence and technical documentation in support of project delivery
qualifications.
Typically 4–8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering or equivalent experience at the project engineer level
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution
Ability to complete stormwater management, sanitary sewer, and drainage studies
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Comfortable presenting technical concepts clearly to clients and colleagues
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Demonstrated experience producing comprehensive civil design plans
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Licensed Professional Engineer
