This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned civil engineer who thrives on leadership, technical challenge, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, bring extensive consulting experience, and demonstrate strong capabilities in both project execution and business development. As a senior member of the team, you will guide multidisciplinary design efforts, shape strategic direction, and help develop emerging talent across the practice.
responsibilities.
Lead project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of complex site development, stormwater management, industrial wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects.
Serve as the technical authority and quality reviewer for engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality procedures.
Oversee preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents, and support permitting and construction processes.
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and professional development support to build a strong and cohesive team.
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement by sharing technical expertise and promoting learning opportunities within the group.
Collaborate with project managers and practice leaders to scope, budget, and schedule projects effectively.
Participate in client meetings, proposal development, and presentations to expand relationships and support business growth.
Contribute to internal process improvement and the development of best practices across the civil design discipline.
qualifications.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and influence others.
Strong working knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, permitting, and construction documentation.
Willingness to travel regionally, with occasional national travel for client and project meetings.
Demonstrated success leading teams on multidisciplinary civil and site design projects.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
10–15 years of civil design experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
Proficiency with Civil 3D/CAD and other civil design software tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
