Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Land Development to join its growing civil engineering team in Pleasanton, California. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated engineering professional who enjoys managing diverse land development projects while working closely with multidisciplinary teams, public agencies, and private sector clients.
The successful candidate will lead site development projects from concept through construction support, contributing both technical expertise and project leadership. responsibilities.
Manage land development and site civil engineering projects from initial planning through final delivery
Oversee site design activities for a range of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments
Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and construction documentation
Coordinate permitting activities and land disturbance approvals with local jurisdictions and agencies
Support project budgeting, scheduling, cost estimating, and resource planning
Assist with bid package preparation and technical specification development
Monitor project progress to ensure quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved
Collaborate with engineers, designers, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout project execution
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff
Participate in client meetings and maintain strong professional relationships with project stakeholders
qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
Minimum of 6 years of relevant site civil or land development engineering experience
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required or ability to obtain within 12 months
Experience with land development design, permitting, and construction documentation
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering design software
Familiarity with hydrology and storm drainage modelling programs
Experience supporting project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination
Strong understanding of utilities, drainage systems, grading, site layout, and due diligence processes
Ability to prepare comprehensive plan sets and construction documents
Excellent communication and relationship management skills

$125,000 – $155,000 annually
