Our client is seeking a Land Development Practice Lead to drive the growth and performance of its land development practice in Orlando, Florida. This senior leadership role will oversee major residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects while building strong relationships with developers, municipalities, and regional stakeholders.
Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure consultancy delivering civil engineering, planning, and development services across a wide range of markets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding regional operations, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality land development solutions throughout Central Florida.
responsibilities.
Lead the strategic direction and operational growth of the land development practice
Develop and maintain relationships with developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and major development projects
Oversee delivery of complex multidisciplinary land development projects
Manage project financials, schedules, staffing, and risk mitigation activities
Ensure technical quality and compliance with regulatory requirements
Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering and project management teams
Promote collaboration and continuous improvement across project teams
Support resource planning and operational efficiency initiatives
Maintain strong client communication and ensure high levels of service delivery
qualifications.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Minimum 10 years of progressive land development engineering experience
Proven experience leading residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects
Strong understanding of Central Florida development and permitting processes
Demonstrated business development and client relationship management skills
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex project portfolios
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities
Ability to mentor teams and support long-term practice growth
