Water/Wastewater Treatment Senior Project Engineer | Glastonbury, CT

Our client is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Senior Project Engineer in Glastonbury, Connecticut to support projects throughout the state. They are looking for a licensed engineer with strong experience in biological treatment systems who can contribute across planning, design, and construction support. The organisation delivers environmental and infrastructure solutions for public and private sector clients.

responsibilities.

• Evaluate and design biological treatment processes for municipal and industrial applications

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design development and field commissioning

• Contribute to process engineering, remediation systems, and treatment facility upgrades

• Support bidding, contract documentation, and construction-phase engineering services

• Lead and support engineering work for water and wastewater treatment systems

• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculation packages

• Travel for site inspections, client meetings, and field activities as required

• Coordinate with internal QA/QC, financial, and administrative teams

• Mentor junior engineers and support internal knowledge sharing

• Develop scopes of work, schedules, and budget estimates

qualifications.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Connecticut licensure

• 7+ years of experience in biological treatment systems (10+ preferred)

• Experience with remediation or industrial treatment operations

• Background in water and wastewater process engineering

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• AutoCAD and/or GIS experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering

$94,000 – $154,000 dependent on experience.
