A nationally respected infrastructure consulting firm is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager to join its Water division in either Austin or San Antonio. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead design and management efforts on a variety of public utility projects, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and more.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in municipal infrastructure and possess strong project management capabilities, as well as the ability to mentor junior engineers.
responsibilities.
Direct and supports junior engineers and technical staff in producing high-quality plans and designs.
Conduct civil engineering planning, analysis, design detailing, and plan production for water/wastewater projects.
Manage all phases of project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client coordination.
Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients and contributes to business development activities.
qualifications.
At least 15 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipelines, storage, and pumping systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Successful track record in preparing Statements of Qualifications and participating in business development and proposal efforts
Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, client service, and budget/schedule control
Experience managing projects across multiple municipalities and engaging with city councils or public boards
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Minimum 3 years of experience mentoring and supervising junior staff
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
