Our client is seeking a Traffic & ITS Senior Project Manager in Miami, Florida. They are a leading company in the infrastructure sector, known for delivering innovative solutions to enhance traffic systems and improve mobility. Their team of traffic engineers, planners, and technical experts are dedicated to deploying cutting-edge intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish.


role

As a Traffic & ITS Senior Project Manager, you will lead high-profile projects that ensure traffic runs smoothly in some of the largest metros in the US. Your expertise in managing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, will be essential in meeting project objectives within budget and timeline while managing risks effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing client relationships, managing technical, financial, and logistical challenges, and acting as the primary point of contact for the project.


This senior role requires someone who excels at solving complex problems and stays composed under pressure. You will be a key player in marketing efforts, targeting new business opportunities, and driving growth for the company. Your ability to communicate effectively and coordinate project teams will be critical in achieving project success and aligning with the company’s goals.


responsibilities.

  • Lead the overall management of traffic and ITS projects, ensuring they stay within scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, setting strategies and guiding them to meet their professional goals.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive project success, ensuring proper communication and coordination.

  • Manage client relationships, addressing technical, financial, and logistical issues as they arise.

  • Develop marketing plans and identify target market areas for future business opportunities.

  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, project plans, and closeout documentation.

  • Attend project review meetings with operations and prepare reports for stakeholders.


qualifications.

  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Deltek Vision and MS Project or Primavera P6 preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the field, with at least 8 years in project management.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt style for different audiences.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent judgments.

  • Proven experience managing ATMS and/or TSM&O projects.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent preferred.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

  • PMP Certification preferred.
