Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Stormwater Management Engineer to join their growing infrastructure and land development team in the Greater Toronto Area. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineering professional with extensive experience delivering stormwater and floodplain solutions for large-scale municipal and land development projects across Ontario.
The successful candidate will contribute to a broad range of water resources initiatives including subdivision servicing, watershed planning, hydraulic analysis, floodplain modelling, and municipal infrastructure studies. Working within a collaborative consulting environment, this individual will play a key role in technical delivery, mentoring junior staff, and supporting project approvals through all stages of development.

responsibilities.
Lead and deliver stormwater management studies and design assignments for land development and municipal infrastructure projects
Prepare and review technical reports including Functional Servicing Reports, Stormwater Management Reports, watershed and sub-watershed studies, and floodplain analyses
Conduct 1D and 2D hydraulic and hydrologic modelling for infrastructure and flood mitigation projects
Support subdivision and master planning projects from conceptual planning through detailed design and approvals
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams to deliver integrated project solutions
Liaise with municipalities, conservation authorities, and regulatory agencies during approvals and permitting processes
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff
Review applicable provincial and municipal policies, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance
Contribute to project scheduling, technical quality control, and client coordination activities
qualifications.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario is required
8–15 years of relevant stormwater management experience within an engineering consulting environment
Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following:
Residential subdivision servicing projects
Watershed, sub-watershed, or master servicing studies
1D and/or 2D floodplain hydraulic modelling
Strong technical report writing and communication skills
Working knowledge of Ontario municipal engineering standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks
Experience supervising or mentoring junior technical staff is preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Preference for candidates based within the Greater Toronto Area and available for regular in-office collaboration
salary.
$100,000 – $150,000 CAD annually, based on experience and qualifications.
