A well known Texas-based organization is seeking a Senior Stormwater Engineer (PE) to join their team in Dallas, TX. The firm focuses on stormwater management and water resources projects, offering an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with experience in hydrology and hydraulics. The role provides an opportunity to lead key design projects, train and mentor staff, and work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including local, state, and federal entities.

Demonstrating technical proficiency with industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, along with other drainage calculations
Serving as the primary signing engineer on various stormwater management and water resources projects
Engaging in frequent written and verbal communication with local, state, federal, and private entities
Managing schedules and budgets for multiple ongoing projects across various clients
Providing training and oversight to staff with varying levels of experience
Attending and leading client meetings

The ideal candidate should be a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in Texas with at least five (5) years of experience in managing and performing hydrology and hydraulics-related projects. The position demands the ability to conduct routine engineering work on stormwater modeling using standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Extensive, proven technical experience using industry-standard software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, Autocad, and Microsoft Office products (Experience with other hydraulic software is a plus)
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an active P.E. license in Texas (Licensure in other states is a plus)
In-depth knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, including the Rational Method, Unit Hydrograph Methods, Manning’s Equation, and tabular closed system analyses
Familiarity with Texas Dam Safety Regulations and dam breach analysis methods is a plus
Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects while training and utilizing younger staff
Experience with FEMA LOMC submittals and coordination is preferred
Strong technical writing skills
