The company is looking for an individual with 10+ years of experience and a passion to grow as a Water Resource Engineer and Project Manager. In this role, the individual will help lead the water resources component of a variety of projects. They will collaborate with staff and clients, working closely with corporate managers and owners, and taking on both technical and business development responsibilities.

  • Stream corridor restoration, natural channel design, channel stabilization, and erosion control

  • Fishways, fish passage barrier mitigation, and low head dam decommissioning

  • Hydraulic analysis for channels, bridges, culverts, weirs, sewers, and fishways

  • Municipal infrastructure, urban drainage, and stormwater management

  • Watershed hydrology, floodplain hydraulics, and mapping

  • Watershed and sub-watershed management studies

  • Environmental restoration and enhancement projects

  • Public consultation and Environmental Assessments


This opportunity requires experience in managing diverse projects for both public and private sector clients, with a focus on leadership, oversight, and mentorship of junior or intermediate staff. The successful applicant will contribute to a broad range of municipal engineering and water resource-focused projects.


responsibilities.

  • Manage the design and execution of civil and water resources engineering projects, including stormwater management, flood mitigation, water and wastewater servicing, roadways, and stream rehabilitation

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of local municipal, provincial, and conservation authority policies, regulations, and the approvals process

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic software such as PCSWMM, VO, HECRAS, and GIS

  • Be licensed to practice as a Professional Engineer in Ontario, or eligible for licensing immediately

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software

  • Prepare, review, and support technical reports

  • Prepare proposals, budgets, and work plans
