responsibilities.
Manage transportation drainage assignments from proposals and scopes of work to hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis, PS&E development, and final reporting, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.
Maintain project budgets, schedules, and resources, while nurturing strong client relationships through consistent and dependable service.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients such as TxDOT and other public agencies, delivering strategic insights and tailored technical solutions.
Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and identifying new opportunities.
Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless execution of project deliverables.
Guide and support junior engineers to build a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation drainage design and PS&E preparation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
Experience using MicroStation GEOPAK or OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools
preferred.
Familiarity with FEMA crossing analysis, drainage impact studies, and water quality design per TCEQ requirements
TxDOT pre-certifications in 10.1.1 (Hydrologic Studies) and 10.2.1 (Basic Hydraulic Design)
Expertise in modeling software such as SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS 2D
Experience with ORD Drainage and Utilities, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS
