The Project Engineer will play a key role in designing and delivering municipal stormwater projects, including flood mitigation, storm drainage improvements, and channel restoration efforts. This position requires a deep understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Civil 3D or MicroStation, and a strong focus on developing innovative, cost-effective solutions for public-sector clients.

  • Lead the design and delivery of municipal stormwater projects, including neighborhood flood mitigation, storm drainage improvements, and channel restoration initiatives.

  • Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions aligned with client goals, regulatory standards, and environmental best practices.

  • Mentor junior engineers, overseeing the production of hydrologic and hydraulic models, plans, specifications, and reports.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver cohesive, client-focused solutions.


requirements.

  • Texas PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.

  • Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Civil 3D, or MicroStation).

  • At least 5 years of experience delivering municipal stormwater and drainage projects.

  • Experience with advanced modeling software (XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS 2D).

  • Expertise in FEMA modeling, floodplain mapping, and TCEQ water quality design.

  • Experience with channel design and stream bank stabilization.

  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation.
