A reputable firm in the construction management field is looking for an experienced Owner's Project Manager to join their Commercial & Institutional Team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a hybrid role, which will involve visiting project sites, collaborating with clients and consultants, and attending evening meetings when required.


responsibilities.

The Owner’s Project Manager is responsible for ensuring successful project delivery by managing budgets, schedules, and quality. This position involves close collaboration with clients throughout the project lifecycle, from educational institutions and residential buildings to municipal structures and commercial spaces.


Key responsibilities include managing client relationships, addressing any technical, financial, or logistical concerns, and overseeing project documentation such as contracts, purchase orders, and correspondence. Additionally, the Owner's Project Manager is responsible for reviewing and approving subcontractor payments, tracking project financials, and preparing for and attending project review meetings.


The role also requires the development of a project-specific health and safety plan, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards, and overseeing adherence to the plan across the project lifecycle.


experience.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project management and leadership, with a proven track record of successful project delivery

  • Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Deltek, MS Project, or Primavera P6 is a plus

  • Strong background in project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, planning, engineering management, or a related field

  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, and closeout documents

  • Ability to interpret and manage client contract requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus

  • Certifications like CCM or PMP are preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
