This position offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse site development projects while gaining experience in client coordination and project management. As a Civil Engineer – Assistant Project Manager, you’ll collaborate with senior staff to design and deliver projects across commercial, institutional, and residential sectors—from early planning and site layout through construction.


You’ll have hands-on involvement with grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting, while building the leadership and technical foundation to advance toward full project management responsibilities.

  • Assist in managing land development and infrastructure projects from concept to completion.

  • Work directly with clients, contractors, and local agencies throughout all project phases.

  • Ensure design accuracy and adherence to applicable standards and regulations.

  • Prepare civil design plans including site grading, stormwater, and utility layouts.

  • Support permitting, construction documentation, and regulatory coordination.

  • Contribute to proposal preparation and scope development.


qualifications.

  • Experience with commercial or mixed-use land development design.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s a plus).

  • 6+ years of professional engineering experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • P.E. licensure preferred.
