This senior-level opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced professional who excels in wastewater engineering and technical leadership. The Central Florida Water/Wastewater Technical Lead provides strategic direction, oversees complex project delivery, and mentors engineering teams working across multiple water and wastewater initiatives.


responsibilities.

  • Lead all project phases—from concept through construction—ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.

    Provide guidance and oversight to multidisciplinary teams delivering planning, design, and implementation projects.

  • Support project managers and engineers with complex problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and QA/QC procedures.

  • Serve as a technical authority for wastewater engineering projects across the region.

  • Contribute to strategic project planning, proposal development, and team leadership.

  • Mentor emerging engineers and promote best practices across the organization.


qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required); Master’s degree preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of wastewater systems design, management, and operations.

  • Familiarity with QA/QC standards, regulatory compliance, and industry codes.

  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit.

  • Active involvement in professional engineering societies (preferred).

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).

  • Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
