Our client is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join their team in Austin, Texas. They are looking for a licensed Civil Engineer with a strong background in municipal utility infrastructure who can lead complex water and wastewater projects from planning through delivery.

responsibilities.
Lead planning, design, and execution of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects
Manage utility design efforts including treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, storage tanks, and hydraulic modeling
Direct and mentor junior engineers and technical staff to ensure high-quality deliverables
Oversee preparation of construction documents, specifications, and technical reports
Perform civil engineering analysis, calculations, and detailed design development
Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships
Support construction administration activities, including coordination and review
Contribute to business development efforts, including preparation of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) and participation in client presentations
qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or ability to obtain Texas licensure within six months
Minimum 8 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design, including pipelines, pump stations, storage facilities, and treatment systems
At least 3 years of demonstrated project management experience with responsibility for budget and schedule control
Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Experience working with multiple municipalities and public agencies
Experience delivering presentations to City Councils or Boards
