Our client is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to support complex surface water, stormwater, and flood management projects. This position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for public and private sector clients.

You will contribute to a wide range of projects including watershed management, stormwater compliance, floodplain analysis, drainage master planning, infrastructure design, and permitting. The role also offers opportunities to mentor staff, share technical expertise, and develop client relationships.


responsibilities.

  • Deliver detailed designs, cost estimates, specifications, and technical reports.

  • Lead hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis for surface water systems.

  • Pursue client engagement and business development opportunities.

  • Mentor junior staff and support career development.

  • Manage projects from concept through construction.

  • Oversee project QA/QC processes.


qualifications.

  • 10+ years of water resources project experience (hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, or dam safety).

  • Experience with 2D hydraulic modeling software (e.g., InfoWorks ICM, FLO-2D) preferred.

  • Knowledge of green infrastructure and low-impact development strategies.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and design plan preparation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  • Experience managing staff and leading project teams.

  • Strong technical writing and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and GIS tools.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.
