An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join a leading, 100% employee-owned civil engineering company providing innovative and economic consulting services in Canada and internationally. The company specializes in civil (municipal) engineering and water resources management, working on a wide range of community growth-related projects.


The successful candidate will be involved in preparing servicing and water resources-related analyses for Master Plans, land development projects (e.g., subdivisions and site plans), during the draft plan and detailed design stages. This full-time position will require close collaboration with Project Managers throughout various project phases.


responsibilities.

  • Utilize computer modeling software for hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, erosion and sediment control studies, floodplain mapping, sanitary sewer capacity analyses, and more.

  • Support Project Managers in meeting client needs and project deadlines.

  • Prepare Functional Servicing and Stormwater Management Reports.

  • Perform additional tasks as required.


qualifications.

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.), or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) in Ontario is an asset.

  • Proficiency in software tools such as Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks, and AutoCAD is beneficial.

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and theories.

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • At least two years of relevant experience in Water Resources.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
