Traffic Systems Engineer / Project Manager | Orlando, FL

Our client is seeking an experienced Traffic Systems Engineer or Project Manager to join their growing transportation team in Orlando, Florida. They are looking for a technically strong professional with deep expertise in traffic signalization and, ideally, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

They are a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy specializing in transportation infrastructure across the Southeast. Their work spans complex roadway, traffic, and planning initiatives that support safer and more efficient mobility within local communities.

• Lead and manage traffic systems design projects from concept through final delivery

• Develop traffic signalization plans in accordance with FDOT standards

• Prepare ITS design packages including communications, detection, and system integration components

• Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines and external stakeholders

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality control processes

• Serve as technical lead and mentor to junior engineers and designers

• Support proposal development and client engagement efforts

• 7–10 years of traffic engineering experience

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required

• Minimum 5 years post-licensure experience

• Demonstrated FDOT traffic design experience

• Strong background in signalization design

• ITS design experience highly preferred

• Proven ability to manage projects and lead technical teams

$115,000 – $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience
