Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Designer to join their Lanham, Maryland office. They are seeking a technically strong CAD professional who takes pride in high-quality plans and enjoys working as a key contributor on multidisciplinary land development teams.


responsibilities.

The role involves preparing civil engineering designs in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for commercial, residential and mixed-use projects. You will design water and sewer layouts and profiles to WSSC standards and take utility plans through WSSC review, design stormwater management facilities, storm drainage plans and profiles, and erosion and sediment control plans. You will also create preliminary utility layouts for subdivision and zoning plans and produce CADD exhibits in close collaboration with engineers, planners and surveyors.


qualifications.

  • At least 10 years of experience on complex commercial and residential land development projects.

  • Strong proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

  • Experience preparing civil design plans and construction documents.

  • Solid understanding of utility, drainage, stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certifications are a plus.

  • Prince George’s County project experience is preferred.

salary.

$75,000 – $95,000.
