Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to support land development and civil infrastructure projects across Texas. This role is suited to a civil engineering professional who is ready to take on a broader project contribution, working across design, permitting, and delivery for schemes involving site development, utility coordination, grading, drainage, and related infrastructure works.


Working in a collaborative environment, the successful candidate will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to help deliver accurate, compliant, and technically robust engineering solutions. Our client operates within the civil engineering and land development sector, providing design and consulting services for a wide range of infrastructure and development projects. They are looking for someone who combines sound technical knowledge with a proactive approach and a strong commitment to quality.


responsibilities.

  • Develop civil engineering designs for land development and infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans.

  • Prepare construction documentation, drawings, and technical reports in line with project requirements, client expectations, and applicable engineering standards.

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, surveyors, and other project stakeholders to support coordination, design accuracy, and timely project delivery.

  • Assist with the preparation, organisation, and submission of permitting and approval documentation.

  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce and refine alignments, surfaces, corridors, profiles, and other design elements.

  • Liaise with local authorities, municipalities, and regulatory bodies where required to support approvals and project progression.

  • Carry out engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and technical analysis to inform design decisions.

  • Contribute to quality assurance and quality control processes, helping identify improvements and maintain high technical standards.

  • Participate in site visits, field reviews, and project investigations as needed to support design development and execution.


qualifications.

  • 3-5 years of civil engineering experience, ideally within land development, site development, or infrastructure projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence.

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Solid understanding of civil engineering design principles, particularly in grading, stormwater management, drainage, and utility layout.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Familiarity with permitting processes and local agency requirements would be advantageous.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
