Our client is looking for an experienced leader to build and manage a successful Water/Wastewater practice within their Water Resources division. This role will involve developing and overseeing a team responsible for delivering high-quality water and wastewater projects, including technical design, financial management, regulatory approvals, and construction. The successful candidate will drive the practice’s growth and ensure client satisfaction across all project phases, all while leading the expansion of this practice area in multiple regions.

Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations, helping to position the company as a leader in the field.
Manage and mentor team members, overseeing project delivery from start to finish and ensuring excellence in design and execution.
Oversee the profitable operation of the Water/Wastewater practice and its integration within the Water Resources division.
Create and implement strategic plans for short- and long-term growth of the Water/Wastewater practice area.
Lead efforts in talent acquisition, development, and retention to build and maintain a strong, high-performing team.
Understand client needs and identify opportunities to expand services and cross-sell additional offerings.
Handle resource management to effectively distribute workload and meet project deadlines.
Develop and review proposals and contracts to ensure project scope, profitability, and scheduling needs are met.
Ensure quality control across all projects and services delivered by the team.
qualifications.
Established relationships within the community that could support the growth of a Water/Wastewater practice.
Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and identifying business development opportunities.
Solid understanding of financial management, including project budgeting, profitability, and revenue goals.
Critical thinking skills and the ability to execute strategic plans for practice growth.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage projects and teams effectively.
Expertise in civil engineering with a focus on water and wastewater projects.
Strong passion and drive to develop and lead a Water/Wastewater practice.
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or training.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
