We’re seeking a Senior Roadway Inspector to join a high-performing Transportation team based in Charleston, SC or Savannah, GA. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects that directly improve communities across the region.

  • Perform inspections on highways, streets, and transportation structures during all phases of construction

  • Work closely with design teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain high project standards

    Interpret and enforce building codes, local ordinances, and contract documents

  • Conduct routine and final inspections, documenting findings and reporting progress

  • Mentor junior inspectors and help ensure safety and efficiency across job sites

  • Review project blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance


qualifications.

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in engineering technology, construction services, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in roadway or transportation construction inspection

  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and contract documentation

    NICET Level III certification in Highway Construction Inspection preferred

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on project teams

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
