Our client is seeking a Project Manager – Land Development design based in Lanham, MD to lead project delivery and manage multidisciplinary teams across a range of site development projects. This role combines technical oversight, team leadership, and client engagement, with responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.


Our client is a growing engineering consultancy providing civil engineering and land development services to public and private sector clients. They specialise in delivering comprehensive site development solutions, supporting projects from planning through detailed design and construction.


responsibilities.

  • Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout project lifecycles

  • Lead and oversee land development design projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery

  • Supervise, mentor, and support engineers and design staff

  • Plan and allocate resources, including workload management and staff coordination

  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial performance, including invoicing

  • Prepare and contribute to proposals and support business development efforts

  • Ensure quality control and adherence to engineering standards and regulatory requirements

  • Monitor team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and recognition

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic and operational goals

  • Deliver responsive, high-quality service to clients


qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Maryland required

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in land development civil engineering design

  • Experience working on projects within Maryland, with local jurisdiction knowledge preferred

  • 5+ years of experience managing staff and leading project teams

  • Strong technical background in site design and plan review

  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and delegation skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

$115,000 – $135,000 annually
