Our client is seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to join their team in Lanham, Maryland. They’re looking for someone who’s confident leading technical staff, managing client relationships, and guiding complex civil engineering projects from concept to delivery. The organisation provides multidisciplinary land development and infrastructure services across the region, supporting both public and private sector partners.


responsibilities.

The Project Manager will oversee engineering teams, supervise daily workload, and ensure design quality across multiple active projects. They’ll handle client communication, project planning, proposal development, scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing. This role includes monitoring project financial performance, maintaining strong client satisfaction, and playing an active part in business development efforts. The manager will also mentor engineers and designers, supporting career growth and ensuring consistent performance. Collaboration with senior leadership is expected to align projects with broader organisational goals.


qualifications.

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required, along with a Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Candidates should bring at least ten years of progressive land development experience, ideally with familiarity in the suburban Maryland market.

  • Experience working in Prince George’s County is beneficial.

  • Applicants should have a minimum of five years supervising technical staff and demonstrating the ability to review plans and coordinate with engineers, planners, and survey teams.

  • Strong communication skills, solid organisation, and confident delegation abilities are essential.
