One of our esteemed clients in Texas is currently seeking a full-time Structural Engineer (PE) in their Fort Worth office.

As a Structural Engineer, the individual will collaborate with a multidisciplinary and multi-level team to create structural solutions in Revit and AutoCAD for a variety of market sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, historical, and hospitality. Using AutoCAD and Revit, the engineer will prepare construction drawings and estimates, perform detailed calculations, and create technical specifications, overseeing projects to ensure that deadlines are met. In this role, one can expect to perform the following tasks:

Under the supervision of a Project Manager, oversee structural projects from design development using Revit and AutoCAD to construction administration involving steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
Foster and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and consultants. Collaborate to address challenges and find solutions. Prepare reports, conduct calculations, anticipate and update schedules, and estimate construction costs for designs. Communicate any delays or concerns with the project manager, working together to find resolutions.
Offer guidance and mentorship to engineers in the early stages of their careers, supporting their professional development and advancement within the field. Serve as a technical resource for inquiries.
Handle communication with general contractors: respond to RFIs, annotate shop drawing submittals, and monitor and inspect work performed by general contractors through site visits.
Coordinate and consult with internal departments.
qualifications.
Degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills - Connections are a critical part of how we work.
Familiarity with Federal, State, and Local regulatory and permitting requirements.
Professional Engineering (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license
At least 2 years’ experience working in a Structural Engineer role.
At least 4 years’ experience designing in Revit and/or AutoCAD.

Active membership and/or leadership role in a local engineering or industry association such as SEAoT, ACI, etc.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (RISA suite and/or Tekla Tedds)
Experience in the consulting industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

This is a full-time, exempt role, requiring a 40-hour work week. Our client provides flexible scheduling options, such as five 8-hour days or four 9-hour days with a half day on Friday morning. Although workday start and end times can be modified, employees must set and adhere to a consistent schedule that includes the core business hours of 9am – 4pm. Overtime is not mandatory but may be requested occasionally to fulfill client requirements.
