A respected engineering and design firm is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Water Resources team, supporting a diverse range of water-related projects for various clients. In this role, the Senior Engineer will lead technical efforts, oversee project design and quality assurance, and provide guidance on complex projects related to water resources.


responsibilities.

  • Oversee and review the technical work of less experienced team members, ensuring projects meet required specifications and design standards.

  • Lead and review the design of complex water resources projects, ensuring that all designs meet quality standards and client requirements.

  • Conduct in-depth research on a variety of water resources topics, addressing challenges that require advanced knowledge and expertise.

  • Provide direction and mentorship to junior staff, advising on best practices and design strategies for meeting project goals.

  • Contribute to the creation of internal engineering standards and guidelines to enhance project execution and quality.


qualifications.

  • Experience in stormwater management, water resources, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, master planning, or stream restoration is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to problem-solve and collaborate effectively within a team.

  • At least 8 years of experience in engineering, with 4 or more years in a leadership or mentoring role.

  • Occasional travel may be required to visit job sites and meet with clients.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  • Exceptional technical writing abilities are highly valued.

  • A Professional Engineering (PE) license.
