A leading multi-disciplinary firm with operations across the Southeastern and Southwestern U.S. is seeking a dynamic professional to lead a Renewable Energy practice area within its Energy sector. The firm specializes in civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, transportation, and geomatics, delivering meaningful experiences through innovative design. We are looking for someone who is passionate about renewable energy, driven by quality, and focused on fostering strong client relationships and internal teams.


responsibilities.

  • Drive strategic growth, talent development, and client satisfaction in the Renewable Energy sector.

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary production team; resolve technical issues and guide team members.

  • Manage staffing and scheduling to meet project deadlines efficiently.

  • Ensure quality and compliance across all projects.

  • Create and negotiate project proposals and contracts, aligning scope, schedule, and profitability.

  • Engage with current and prospective clients to identify new opportunities and promote cross-disciplinary services.

  • Spearhead strategic planning initiatives to grow the firm’s Renewable Energy portfolio.

  • Represent the firm at industry events and professional organizations; contribute as a thought leader in the sector.


qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • 7+ years of experience in the renewable energy or related sectors.

  • Proven leadership in developing renewable energy-focused teams or practices.

  • Strong technical background in site civil design for renewable energy projects.

  • Capable of managing projects independently and within a collaborative team.

  • Skilled in building and maintaining high-value client relationships.

  • Financial acumen with a focus on profitability and strategic growth.

  • Active involvement in the industry with a well-established professional network.

  • Previous experience with architecture, engineering, or construction (A/E/C) firms strongly preferred.
