The ideal candidate for the Lead Remediation Project Engineer role is a problem-solver and remedial strategist with hands-on, practical experience using various remedial technologies and equipment. responsibilities.

  • Design and implement small and large-scale remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination at sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs.

  • Manage the operations and maintenance (O&M) of remedial systems, including data collection and troubleshooting.

  • Review existing data to identify gaps and develop strategies for addressing these gaps in remediation approaches.

  • Contribute to the design of process/facility engineering projects and industrial wastewater systems.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Prepare remediation feasibility studies, design basis reports, remedial action plans, and cost estimates.

  • Write and review technical reports, Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), and Health and Safety plans.

  • Analyze and compile data, perform statistical evaluations, and engage in 3D modeling.

  • Lead pilot studies and field testing for various and emerging contaminants.

  • Oversee onsite construction efforts.


qualifications.

  • Advanced proficiency in drafting remedial system designs, plans, and specifications, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and material balances.

  • Strong understanding of groundwater and lithology characteristics/logging and hydraulics.

  • Expertise in vapor mitigation, groundwater/soil remediation, and remediation O&M.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience in task/project management and proposal development.

  • Valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.

  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 35% annually.

  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

  • 6 to 15 years of relevant experience.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
