A prominent full-service planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation, and surveying firm with offices across the U.S. is seeking a talented and energetic Landscape Architect to join their Planning + Design team in their Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas office. The selected candidate will be part of a highly collaborative team, responsible for driving the growth of the firm's Parks, Urban Planning, and Design practice within the DFW Metroplex. This individual will play a key role in leading the pursuit and execution of high-quality public projects, including parks, recreation spaces, municipal improvements, civic buildings, and urban design. The ideal candidate will bring leadership and project management experience, ensuring the delivery of exceptional results for both clients in the region and beyond.


responsibilities.

  • Lead project pursuits and proposal development, working with teams across the firm.

  • Provide design direction and site planning expertise for a wide range of projects, such as parks, civic buildings, and urban design.

  • Ensure compliance with local development ordinances and codes, guiding projects toward approval.

  • Oversee the delivery of construction documents, bid packages, and cost estimates.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, serving as the primary point of contact for clients.

  • Present designs and concepts to elected officials, boards, stakeholders, and the public.

  • Develop and implement community engagement plans to involve the public in design processes.

  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning to expand the firm’s national presence.

  • Travel as needed for projects, training, and company events.


qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.

  • Registered Landscape Architect in the state of Texas.

  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and SketchUp.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage project teams and communicate effectively.

  • Ability to create hand-drawn layouts and site plans for preliminary submittals.

  • Eagerness to contribute to a creative and collaborative work environment.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • 6-10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
